Project Overview

The City Council granted planning permission for the development of a residential complex at 34-38 Aybrook Street and 28-42 Blandford Street and through the process secured funding to improve the streetscape in the adjacent streets.

The improvements included:

• New footway paving in Aybrook Street and Blandford Street.
• High quality granite surfacing in vehicle crossovers.
• Replacement of the existing kerbs.
• Improvements to existing street lighting layout.
• Minor alterations to the existing drainage layout
• Improving the aesthetic appearance of Aybrook Street and Blandford Street.
• Addition of three new residents parking bays and two blue badge disabled bays in Aybrook Street .
• Reinstatement of a tree in front of the development at Blandford Street
