Project Overview

As part of rejuvenating the streetscape within the Westbourne Green area, the City Council made improvements to the visual amenity of the streets and improve safety within the community.

Improvements included:

• Repaving the footways to suit current City Council standards
• Resurfacing of carriageways
• Removal of street clutter where applicable
• Upgrading the public lighting to meet current British standards

Improvements for tackling crime and anti-social behaviour included:

• Upgrading the public lighting
• Improving the highway streetscape around the Edward Wilson Primary School
