Project Overview

A section 106 was signed on 28 March 2012 for the development of new access stairs and lift to provide access to the proposed elevated deck and gardens on the north side of Brown Hart Gardens. Changes to the public realm and surface treatment works were required to accommodate the proposed development.

The highway improvements included the following:

• Building out of the footway which will be paved with natural Yorkstone paving;
• Drainage modifications to accommodate the new highway layout;
• Relocation of four pay by phone bays from Brown Hart Gardens to Duke Street.
