Little Marlborough Street Streetscape Improvements

Little Marlborough Street Streetscape Improvements

Ward: West End

Streets Affected: Little Marlborough Street

Project Type: Streetscape

Project Overview

In 2011, public realm improvement works in Kingly Street and the southern half of Little Marlborough Street were completed. These improvements were funded partly by the local landowner Shaftesbury Plc.

Following the successful streetscape improvement scheme on Kingly Street, Westminster City Council (WCC) was approached by Shaftesbury Plc to carry out further streetscape improvement along Little Marlborough Street in order to match the work which has already been done in the vicinity.

The proposed works will continue and match the improvements already complete in the southern half of Little Marlborough Street.

The highway improvement works include the following:

  • Replacement of existing brown block paving material with new silver grey granite setts
  • Resin bonded silver grey aggregate surfacing
  • Granite kerbs
