Project Overview

Westminster City Council is proposing footway and carriageway improvements along Great Scotland Yard main road and side access road.

The improvements include the following:

• Minor footway widening and kerb realignment on the northern side of Great Scotland Yard.
• Installation of a flushed raised carriageway on the Great Scotland Yard side access to reduce vehicular speeds, and improve pedestrian accessibility.
• Resurfacing and repaving of sections of carriageway and footway with high quality materials to improve the quality of the active frontages.
• Improvements to existing drainage.
• Reinstatement of the existing road markings.
• Upgrades to existing street lighting
