Project Overview

Proposed scheme is to provide better pedestrian crossing facilities at the junction of Berkeley Street and Stratton Street as well as better visibility between all road users. The scheme is also to provide additional parking. The kerb build outs in combination with the relocation of the existing parking bays are to improve visibility splays by bringing the give-way line forward and prevent vehicles from parking too close to the junction. As part of this scheme the waiting and loading restriction will also be upgraded which will further prevent vehicles from parking and stopping near the junction.
