Project Overview

As a key pedestrian route between Leicester Square and Covent Garden, St Martin’s Cross junction was identified by The City Council as a priority for improvement.

Improvements to the junction included:

• Increasing the footway areas to improve pedestrian movements
• Realigning the existing pedestrian crossings to meet user needs and behaviors
• Upgraded street lighting
• Removing unnecessary street clutter
