Project Overview

Scheme to extend and build out the footway and amending the kerb lines to improve the crossing facilities for pedestrians and the turning movements of vehicles turning into Chippenham Mews at the junction of Chippenham Mews and Marylands Road. Also included in the scheme is resurfacing the junction, replacing the carriageway setts at the junction mouth with asphalt to create smoother vehicle turning movements and relaying the setts up to 2A Chippenham Mews. The scheme includes the removal of the existing school crossing patrol wig wag lights that are no longer required and providing additional scooter parking at the junction of Chippenham mews and Chippenham Road. The scheme aims to improve pedestrian safety and comfort
