Project Overview

Project Overview Reconstruction and extension of the existing raised table at Seymour Place / Hampden Gurney Street junction, reconstruction and extension of the Seymour Place arm of the raised table at Upper Berkeley Street / Seymour Place junction, reconstruction of the raised table at Seymour Place / Seymour Street junction and resurfacing of the carriageway between Upper Berkeley Street and Seymour Street junctions. All raised tables to be reconstructed in new granite setts.

Outline Programme

Construction works planned to commence on 21st August 2023 and are expected to last for 7 weeks.
The works will be undertaken in four phases as follows:

• Phase 1: closure of the southern arm of Seymour Place/Upper Berkeley Street junction for 2 weeks, for raised table reconstruction and extension works.
• Phase 2: closure of Seymour Place/Hampden Gurney Street/Cumberland Mews junction for 3 weeks, for raised table reconstruction and extension, and resurfacing works.
• Phase 3: closure of Seymour Place/Seymour Street junction for 2 weeks, for raised table reconstruction works.
• Phase 4: full road closure of Seymour Place between Upper Berkeley Street and Seymour Street for one day for carriageway resurfacing works.
