Project Overview

Westminster City Council has commissioned its service provider, FM Conway Limited, to carry out footway improvements adjacent to the new development at No. 1 Palace Street. The work includes the renewal/replacement of the existing footway surfacing to complete the No. 1 Palace Street development. The footway improvement works are planned to commence on 3rd March 2025 and last for approximately 4 weeks, weather permitting. Works will take place Monday to Friday, between 08:00 & 17:00hrs. To allow for safe working practices, the section of the eastbound traffic lane of Palace Street between the junctions with Buckingham Gate and Stafford Place will be closed for approximately 1 week following which traffic eastbound traffic movements will be restored. The works date may slip for operational reasons such as weather delays, or other unforeseen circumstances, between now and the planned start date. However, the methodology and scope of work is not expected to change. Should there be any variation, or significant change to the programme, we shall inform you at the earliest opportunity. Please note that whilst we will endeavour to minimise the impact of noise on local and nearby businesses, this is not always possible, due to the nature of the works. Our operatives will follow strict health and safety guidance, wearing full PPE whilst works are underway.
